first cold

It always seems strange to me that people catch colds in the summer. Especially here in Big D where it's consistently been in the high 90's and low 100's over the past few weeks. How on earth did Hudson manage to catch a cold in this heat? Who knows...but he's got one. And it's heartbreaking. He's got the sniffles pretty bad and he's sneezing, coughing and breathing sorta funny. Aside from all that- you really wouldn't know he's sick. Yesterday he napped longer than usual and last night he slept for about 13 hours. It's obvious he's not feeling well, but he sure doesn't want you to know it. Does that look like the face of a sick baby? He's smiling and giggling this morning just like any other day. Except with a runny nose and a cough. It's just another reminder to me that we've got a GREAT baby. A fabulous one. So easy going, so relaxed, SOOOO good. Even when he's feeling bad he's still good. Great in fact. The doctor says he's too young to take any cold medicine, so he just has to wait this one out. Estimated duration is 5-7 days. Poor little Hud-bug.
